This thread is to here as a proof that the UW solo traping still works perfectly and can still be performed even after the slapping of EW.

I actually use a random inscribable Staff(soul spire was the skin name i think) that has 10 energy on it, a +5 energy /\ 50% HP inscription and a +5 energy staff wraping/staff head. The insignias are mostly the radiant ones although i think one of them is survivors as well. As for this build the crucial thing is your mana pool. For the attributes though, I have 15 Exp and 16 WS, the other attributes aren't important. I myself have 53 Energy, which is efficient but somtimes you feel like you'd use a little more. Well, that pretty much covers it.

nice idea what you do'nt say is how you do it, do you use the same technique as before the EW nerf, it would be nice to have an excuse to dust off my ranger

yeh, the tactic is pretty much the same; trap & lure. takes some practice though with mobs like the dryders.
